Marine Otomasyon Sistemleri and Orki Teknoloji Managing Partner Cpt. Dilan Oruç stated that MOS, built upon the experience gained since 2002, has today evolved beyond being just a service company to become a global technology partner through local production, system integration, digital B2B platforms, and ROV underwater survey services.
Cpt. Dilan Oruç evaluated the company’s transformation from its inception to the present, covering service regions, digitalization investments, and global partnerships.
Founded in 2009, Marine Otomasyon Sistemleri (MOS) was built on the knowledge and service experience accumulated since 2002. During this period, the expertise gained in integrating various systems on ships, complying with international standards, and accurately analyzing customer needs was decisive in shaping MOS’s corporate identity. Today, MOS is not only a service company but has become a technology partner offering local production, system integration, and engineering solutions.
Cpt. Oruç noted that they provide services for components such as ODME, inert gas, level measurement, and nitrogen generator systems within MOS, emphasizing that their work is inherently global. Recalling that the biggest challenge recently has been obtaining visas for personnel, Cpt. Oruç said: “With the recent changes, all our service engineers now have Schengen visas, and most of us also have visas for the UK and the USA. As a result, well-known domestic and foreign companies continue to prefer us for overseas services. Wherever there is a need, our team is there. Additionally, our ability to provide 24/7 remote support is one of the reasons we are chosen.”
Highlighting a high repeat customer rate of 85%, Cpt. Oruç stated that to maintain this success, they have built a strong corporate memory supported by digital solutions: “Our service, ship, operation, and process information is stored in systems accessible to all our personnel in real-time. Accessing historical data greatly helps in managing processes. People are temporary, but organizations are permanent, and both sides occasionally need this information. We also developed our own B2B program, which I am confident maritime companies will eagerly use soon. It will be highly beneficial, as it has evolved with us from day one.”
Cpt. Oruç addressed the advantages of MOS’s representation agreement with HG Machinery Group for the sector: “First, customers with new construction projects in the Far East or Turkey have gained significant stock and pricing advantages. We trust the brand fully thanks to on-site training and quality testing, and we offer this trust to our customers. As a European service station, we have established a 300-square-meter workshop with unparalleled technology to handle long-term spare parts and maintenance services in Turkey within our authority.”
Cpt. Oruç also emphasized that their long-standing strong partnership with E-LED Lighting has increased MOS’s international recognition: “Following the production of our navigation light, the Netherlands-based global brand E-LED added MOS products to its catalog, accelerating the worldwide recognition of our navigation lights. This partnership has strongly positioned our products not only in Turkey but also in Europe and the USA.”
Commenting on the rapid continuation of OEM production for cargo pumps and tank level systems, Cpt. Oruç said: “Through online and direct sales, our OEM sales network is deepening every day. Our customers refer to our products as MOS brand rather than OEM. The parts requested are delivered within a few days, regardless of the location worldwide, and our service personnel board ships with potential spare parts. This ensures both time and cost savings.”
Cpt. Oruç highlighted that MOS invests not only in automation systems but also in new technologies, evaluating underwater drone ROV investments as follows: “In our future vision, we plan to differentiate ourselves with digitalized and AI-based investments. ROV underwater survey services are one of the additions to our company on this path. As far as I know, we are the first and still the only company authorized by the Turk Loydu to conduct ROV Underwater Surveys. Eliminating the human factor underwater is an important development in many ways. Being a pioneer in this field is also a source of pride for us.”
